I've finally added a chest shop system to replace the shops we lost in the update to 1.8. This new shop system allows for trading any item for any other item, rather than restricted to a few set currency items. I would imagine markets would still stick to only trading for the few established currency items, however you are free to set up your shops to accept any item you wish. Perhaps you'll want to exchange dirt for stone, or nether rack for diamond swords? You're free to play in exactly the way you want ^_^

Shops
  • Added shop system
  • Place a sign on the front of any chest with "[shop]" on the first line, the quantity of the item you wish to sell on the second, and the quantity of item you wish players to pay. The fourth line should be "trade" (e.g. [shop] | 20 | 3 | trade)
  • Instructions in chat once sign placed: hit the sign (left click) with the item you wish to sell, then hit the sign with the item you wish the customer to give in exchange.
  • The shop will show floating item representation of the trade offer above the chest. Item on left is the item the shop sells, whilst the item on the right is the item the customer would pay.
  • The shop sign will show the quantity below each floating island; "20 for 3" meaning 20 of the left item in exchange for 3 of the right.
  • To buy simply use (right click) on the shop sign and the trade will be completed.

I got a question, how do claims affect the shop chest? do people need to have accesstrust? or does it work without any kind of trust?

Also can people who have /trust on the claim the shop is on destroy it?

Shops in claims do not need players to have any kind of trust to be able to trade with them.

Only the owner of the shop may destroy it.

Zurvival supports 1.11 clients, and will update fully to 1.11 as soon as possible (expect a few weeks)

Minecraft 1.11 protocol:

Zedwork Zurvival has now been updated fully to 1.11!

Minecraft 1.11
  • Chat messages can now be up to 256 characters long
  • Significantly reduced hunger rate for everything but healing
  • Reduced Skeletal Rider spawning rate
  • Chat warnings like "You can only sleep at night" now appear in the status bar
  • Changed the durability bar display and colors
  • Flower hitboxes now move with the Flower
  • Added Curse of Binding enchantment
  • Added Curse of Vanishing enchantment
  • Fixed shift-clicking not applying the correct scale level when scaling Maps with Paper
  • Fixed items getting deleted when the crafting recipe overflows the inventory and shift-clicking - additional items are dropped
  • Fixed putting Banner designs on Shields destroying their enchantments
  • Fixed the mouse click position lagging a few frames behind the crosshair
  • The outer landmasses in the End now generate End Gateways randomly
