Optifine

I am under the impression that optifine is allowed on the server. If it is not is it ok to use if a texture pack requires it?

I use optifine, I know very few people that dont use it on the server, as far as I know it is allowed, optifine isn't really looked like a mod, even though it is, what zed doesn't like is mods like rei's minimap, those mods give a great advantage over other player, which is exactly what we are trying to avoid.

Yep, Optifine is fine. Like Sokonit said, we do not allow any mods which give you an advantage over other players. Optifine is pretty much required for some players to even be able to run Minecraft, so that is completely fine (though there are some features of Optifine you should really disable, to be fair.) Same goes for HD Texture Pack mods (which is included in Optifine, I think), as they is purely a cosmetic change you are free to use them.
