A border is being set up to limit the size of the world, once it is enforced no plaayer will be able to travel past it. Anything outside the border will then be deleted from the world, and any remaining un-generated chunks within the border will be generated. After updates, the border may expand to generate new chunks from the new update. Hopefully, this will make it much easier to find new content from each update, as you will know exactly where to look (past the previous border).
- The border is circular, set as a radius from x=0 z=0.
- Anything beyond the border will be deleted once the border comes into effect.
- The border will prevent you from exploring past it.
- The border will only ever expand in future, this is the last time land will be deleted by a shrinking border to the world.
- 1 week after the border comes into effect, the border will expand to generate new chunks in 1.7.
- After 1.8 lands, the border will expand again to generate new land from 1.8.
- The border comes into effect on the 7th February, 2014.
- Zedwick is very sorry for the confusion/build destroying.
- The Nether will reset seperately, a little after the border comes into effect. You will see a warning about this in the nether appearing 2 weeks before this, shown each time you enter the nether.
Hope that clears things up for you!
