Post Office in Zurvival

Hello!
lateoclock and me had the idea to open a post office.
We are not that sure yet, but the general plan is to make a area with the letter box chests, where eveyone has accesstrust and can put the letters in. Everyone could have a box.
Furthermore, there could be a member area, where the boxes just can be accessed by their owner and letters and other stuff can be deposited by a hooper. That could provide security when items of value are sent. (For example when items are repaired as a paid service)
An idea by late was a register of the people( ther adress, home region) which could be added to the personal letterbox.

We are curious, if people would be interested to have a letterbox there and we are searching for a good spot (preferably near a region post). I thought, maybe we could build it in sand, given that a lot of regulars already have a house there. Dogzack, what do you think?

I think this idea is very intriguing!

I know lots of people ask for messages to be passed along in pub chat and pvt messages but this would be a great way to get in touch with players you don't see too often. I love that fact that we have such a diverse group of people from all over the place in different time zones and countries - constructing a drop-box message system would be a great was to bridge the time gap and still communicate with everyone.

Hmm I had great ideas about how that post system could be used on a daily basis...
if you sell enchanted items you can send an offer or even ship them.
Lateoclock's future market could profit.
But atm, I'm a bit floating here. I haven't heard from late nor from dogzack and I just don't want to start just to have to move.
It needs to be near to a region post and have some space.
Maybe I should scout for a place myself or just take a random ocean region and maybe rename it Mail or something. like I did in seed or late did with market.

I made a really quick sketch on how I imagine it from the outside for region pickaxe4 (to be named later)
I think that is a nice base and one of my ideas include to close off the little park, so that people visiting the post office wont even know that it's in the ocean.

the thing is happening. i'm building something with your sketch in mind (it's 10x better than what i had in mind, so thanks for making it). just a shell for now so that when you/we get the "how" of this project figured out that the "where" will already be taken care of and we can go straight to implementation. feel free to change or tweak it how you like.

I would love to be of assistance in this project. If Lateoclock is going to frame things out I can help fill in details. I'd be happy to work on road/infrastructure, and can do interiors in buildings as well.

I am still not fully aware of the mechanics of the mail system so I will leave that to Treiskaideka.

My leather supply is very healthy as well if you need donations.

Wow, guys, you are awesome!
I would have made one or two things differently (mainly the east and west wing a bit bigger, but I see that's not what I drew. It's not like you can read my mind. but almost, late ) And I guess, we'll need to see how much space we actually need.
Unfortunatly, managertrust does not include normal trust, so late, you'll need to trust me on the claim. I cnat change a thing atm :/

I think I'll do a google doc to collect the ideas and mechanics. I'll post the link later.

But I have to say it again: you did a marvelous job!
(for context: Yesterday, I logged out there, only ocean around me. today I log in and the first thing I see is this awesome building)
