Topics of Conversation:

Topic 1: Raysun's Spawn Dispensers

Raysun has left the server, the dispensers at spawn that he initiated had until a few days ago been empty, so new players had nothing to help them start out. Aravero agreed to watch over the dispensers and many other people offered to help as well. Therefore, new players have a variety of stuff to help them. Community donations of armor and swords are greatly appreciated; however, armor is significantly more in demand.

We are looking for ways to increase potential storage space for these dispensers without them looking too ugly. One suggested way was using a hopper connected to a secondary storage chest. Futurady agreed to take care of extra storage space.

Zed suggested that the dispensers be placed under the ownership of the council. However, it seems like the roles were already filled so this was not given a definite answer.


Topic 2: Blutopia Build-Off

The Blutopia Build-Off starts immediately after this meeting closes. Anyone interested in attending should either reply to forum post or talk to Zriends in game.

Build-Off Prizes:

First Place:
1 New Elytra, 1 Mob Head of their Choice, 1 Stack of Iron Blocks

Second and Third Place:
1 Mob Head of Their Choice, 1 Stack of Iron Blocks

Also, all entrants keep the contents of the supply drop they are given. Players are not limited to supply drop contents, they are just a helping hand. All personal resources are permitted for use. Late entries are also permitted.


Topic 3: Player Disagreement (politely)

After letting it slide in a previous meeting and beyond, Zed apologizes to the Zedling community. TouketsuKasai was named as a victim in repeated instances of victim vilification and preying on individual weaknesses of players to garner sympathy and support for relentless attacks. The Zedwork community will take a strong stand in halting abusive behavior when it can be identified. Players have been encouraged to speak to admins about any issues, no matter how small or unsure they may be.


Topic 4: Approach of Christmas / Christmas Dinner Party

LB proposes to host a Christmas Dinner Party with Entertainment in the form of a talent show. Dishes will be cooked and presented in an extra tasty way. Will start on December 18th (Sunday) at 8 pm GMT with an end time TBD. Spots on the talent show lineup can be reserved by replying to her forum post.


Council Nominations:
Due to missing note pages from the last two meetings, while we did have 20 members at the point last recorded, it is unknown how many we lost due to strikes. Therefore, while there was a nomination for Aravero, elections cannot be held until we are certain that there is at least one open space.


Mayor Topics:
- No major changes to Savannah
- Forest Hills needs a new mayor and replacement elections after Forseth gave his power to jamie
- Dax wants to resign from his position as mayor of Swamp because he hasn’t done anything with the warp for a long time. However, he will remain as active mayor while a replacement is determined

Also, regarding the mayor position. I agree that a new mayor is needed for Forest Hills. Jamie is no longer playing and I am finding me with limited time on the server, time I don't spend on the warp. I'm working during the next meeting as well (Sigh..) and won't be able to speak this out loud there and then. But to make it easier for you all, I'll resign as Mayor as well and leave it up to the council to find a suitable replacement. Ill try to post this in the pretopic for the next meeting so players have time to volunteer.

I just wanted to clarify Topic 3 as I feel the wording may make it seem TouketsuKasai (previously named CrunchFrostFire) was responsible for the behaviour listed, when he was actually the victim of the abuse. I brought this up as I wanted to right the wrongs made to Touketsu, and clear his name.

I'll transcribe my words below:

Another individual brought up accusations against TouketsuKasai in a previous meeting in an attempt to vilify him whilst painting herself as a victim in order to garner sympathy and support in her continued attacks and victimisation of him.

She played on individual weaknesses of others in the community to win their favour or to keep them in a one-down position to maintain herself as a point of authority. Anyone who did not submit then became the target of private slander campaigns to destroy their reputation, breaking apart the community we are so proud to have been a part of and built over the last 3 years.

We have failed to protect TouketsuKasai and the members of our community from this manipulative, abusive behaviour. We will not permit it any longer, and will take a stronger stance in halting it when we identify it happening, though it can be difficult to truly know what is happening until we can look back.

Despite being able to see her attempts to manipulate me I unknowingly allowed her to prey on my weaknesses to avoid the repercussions of her actions. Once again, I apologise to Touketsu for allowing her to continue to vilify her victim so publicly, and to the greater Zedling community for failing to defend them, our friends.

Manipulative behaviour can be very difficult to deal with; misdirection, denial, guilt-tripping and lying can leave you feeling defensive and self-doubting. If you ever feel like you may be dealing with someone who is not interacting with you honestly, or may be manipulating you or others then I encourage you to contact a Guardian. Even if you'd just like to talk through things to work things out in your own head, we're always here to talk.
