as all of you know (if you don't then spoiler alert ) the end is getting reset in 1.9 due to new features. one notable feature is that the enderdragon will be able to be respawned. however, it will only drop it's (her) egg once. that's where we come in. we will be there waiting for when the lvs server updates to 1.9 and when it finally happens, we instantly log on, meet up and go and fight the dragon. the decision on who gets the egg will be decided after we've done the deed.

I feel the need to point out that the new features do not need a world reset as it stands. I generated a world in 1.8, killed the dragon then left the end and updated to 1.9 latest snapshot. I respawned the dragon with the new craftable end crystals and it worked. New end pillars were generated in a circle around the exit portal, which was disabled during the fight. My end was cluttered with obsidian pillars after this, but in the LVS end they have all been removed anyway so thats not an issue. The portals to the new end were generated after the respawned dragon was killed. New end seemed all ok too.

It is entirely possible though that the pillars will generate through stuctures built in the end, including the enderman scupture and the shops/road.

And also Zed might decide to do a reset anyway, but I can't find any record of that decision being made yet.

The end may be reset for 1.9, I will make that decision closer to 1.9's release next year.
