Helping those that need help

After the recent council meeting where I raised the point that we should be able to offer some help to others in our community. I have looked up some help numbers.
Samaritans for UK and the Republic of Ireland. Samaritans.org Phone 116 123 Email jo@samaritans.org There are a ton in the USA. No single number but all can be found on Samaritans.org
For children there is Child line in the UK 0800 1111 Childline.org.uk
Best I can find in the US is safe horizon They have several numbers. Domestic abuse 800-621–HOPE (4673)
Family help and crimes. 866-689-HELP (4357).
Rape and sexual abuse 212-227-3000.
Heart breaking! But when someone you have been friends with for all of 10 minutes starts asking you stuff because you are 43yo, Its crappy when all you can say is "Stay out of the way and keep safe".
Ours is a wide community. We all play the same game and I guess that sometimes the younger members look to the older members for help when they need it. It would be good if we could return that trust!
