New Iron City Improvements / Settling / Possibilities

As some of you may know, New Iron City is full of houses that are owned by banned / inactive players. There is plenty of open space to make new buildings, but the owner of the city is very sparsely active. I would like to help re-open N.I.C., but to do this, I need permission from somebody. If you are in the leading ranks of N.I.C. and are reading this post, please leave a reply! I have so far settled a new player in N.I.C. and I wish to do so further. If one of you admins could time-stamp the player's who have left their buildings, and if they've not been on in a very long time, possibly grant permission for the plot to be cleared. This is a huge task, but to make the city lively, we need new people! Thanks. -Lola

Almost a year old thread! ...just checking through some unanswered topics.

This one is quite relevant, considering the last meeting and the decision about 'caretakers'.

According to the wiki, the mayors of New Iron are 'Werble & Lilweeph'. Can't say I've seen them online since I've been playing.

My home base is quite close to New Iron. I do intend to make a house there myself after I've finished my current build. Any other active players still visiting the city?

Just dropped a !Lastseen for Werble and Lilweeph on LVS, I have seen Werble once and Lilweeph a few times since I've been playing myself. The Last seen command showed Werble's most recent log-in as July 12th of this year, and Lilweeph as October 18th of this year. From what I have heard LovelyLamb herself has signed on as mayor, but I cannot confirm nor deny the actuality of this or if it was just word-of-mouth or a documented (or correctly documented) change.

I would advise looking down the Zedwiki and check council meeting notes, and bring this up in the upcoming council meeting if it becomes necessary. There are pages outlining the actual regulations that may be of assistance as well, if you are looking down old topics. :)

Great to see people commenting on un-replied forum topics!

Last meetings discussions referred inactive warp towns, not a player built communities, but I suppose a discussion could still be brought up.

However, The council formally owns all warp towns, with the mayor being in charge of the day to day work. The council does not control player made communities of people, and will most likely not be able to get involved with the goings on there. This is more likely a job for the guardians to sort out.

Player built communities usually have their own set of rules and I would imagine that most "Mayors" of those towns would not be too happy to come back and find their area had been completely overhauled by another player taking over.

I would still be happy to talk about this at a council meeting, so make sure to write a topic on the pre-meeting agenda about it!
