Next meeting will be hosted by Swayed_Light, If you cannot make it please post your apologies below.

Link to previous meeting notes: https://zedwork.co.uk/wiki/Zedling_Council_Meeting_2017-06-17

Looking forward to seeing you all there!

P.S I would like to once again request that the Pre-meeting agenda is the responsibility of the scribe of the previous meeting and they should post this before the end of said meeting. The notes can be added later upon completion!

Will be halfway to sunny Wales during this, but I've two thoughts:
-Mayor updates every meeting seem very surplus to requirement at the moment, that I can recall they have recently just been 'nothing to report'. Maybe the frequency of mayor reports can be reduced in the regulations from 'every meeting' to an ad hoc basis, as/when mayors have something to announce.
-Memerys idea of scribe posting the agenda makes sense IMO, perhaps council could move to change the regulations to this effect, given that currently regs state this as the responsibility of the host.
If council's prepared to discuss these without me then huzzah, otherwise I'm happy to bring these up at the next meetin I can attend.

I will be on a boat (again) that day and likely won't be back in the evening for the meeting.

Slight topic of interest that may wind up creating a new rule, thought I would mention it as it's more difficult to answer than I anticipated by one or even two individuals.

A few days after coming onto the server I wanted to make a bakery shop (Aravero may recall my particular enthusiasm :P ).
As I grew and became more self-sustainable I partnered with One227 and EmpressBethany with EB1. I still want to make the bakery, but as it's one shop plot per owner, I was unsure where I stood. Given this fact, I would of course still prefer to stay with EB1 if the bakery idea goes down in flames because of this. Just wanted to clarify that part, LOL.

The short story is, One227 and EmpressBethany created the EB1 plot, I did not. However, I am currently perceived as a co-owner of the shop, due to my end busting and restock trips.

My question is: Do I own the EB1 plot or not?

I should also mention I would not have even brought this up as a meeting topic if it didn't become such a "tricky" matter that could become a legitimate rule unto itself. This was not intended to become a personal plight gone public.

I feel you are doing the right thing by bringing this up. Normally the Zriend in charge of the market would take this decision, but as he isn't active at the moment, the guardians (or possible the council) should decide it. Personally I think that this case is an exception to the rule, you have a genuine concept and I don't see you abusing the customers or this rule. The rule is there for the sole purpose to give everyone a chance to set up a shop. The result if this rule was removed, could be the market filling with shops made by a few players, with the purpose to remove competition in the market.

But I feel its worth discussing.

Currently the market is run by all Zriends, it was made that way some months ago and before that we were all very hands off with it as it was Laurens project. So the people that run it are around.

Even so, I think this situation is definatly worth of debate. I would come down on the side that AB still can have a plot as they never really had one and use a shop started by two other people.

Would be nice if Zed or Lady could reiterate the rules about chat behavior, given whats happened over the past week, I feel it's important to make people aware of what is and isn't acceptable in the chat. That "Why be offended?" Isn't a valid response to someone who asks someone not to discuss or say certain things.

Switching to Sway's reply (as I said my part on mine already) I do agree with the chat behavior clarification. Not pertaining to specific individuals, I know that there are some that say something in a joking manner that may come across to other members as a malicious comment (i.e., "I'm going to kill your sheep!" "Not if I have anything to say about it. :P"). I also have noted there are certain words that may be considered a swear, cuss, bad word, etc. that are not applied in the filter. Although I do not swear personally, I know the occasional one (reasonings such as a horrible death, ridiculous amount of mobs, diamond dropping in lava, etc.) may be strewn. Although I am not talking about dodging the pre-made chat filter, I would like some clarification of words that are ethically incorrect but not filtered. A more clear outline than "whatever is ethically wrong" may be good, although I'm sure you can only go so far from that answer before it is the only thing you can say on this matter.
