Topic 1 - Zen Regulations

Treiskaideka wanted to discuss the buildings that don't match the theme/regulations of Zen.
-Mustafa's Shop - Looks out of place
-HypeHuman's Shop - Too large by four blocks, and protrudes from the district
-Mustafa Stall - Owning both a stall and shop, the shop being unstocked

We decided to implement some signs in the market area, notifying of the changes that need to be made.
The Zedkins will also tell this to the aforementioned when they are next seen.

At this point, Lady enters and sits inside of her chair... somehow.

Finally, we agree that Shop Owners may only have a stall if it sells goods differing to their shops.
This may be changed as more stalls are taken.

Topic 2 - Community Projects

Jazz starts by telling of her numerous travels through the distant, uncouth land of 'LVS'.

Jazz explains how this place is bolstered by it's community feel - there are many projects that represent the
community as a whole. She feels that Zz (which is, in my completely unbiased opinion, the better server)
would do to learn from Lvs.
This looks like it's going into an epic speech about diversity and culture... but it doesn't.

Next, my forte', the Nether is brought up.
I tell of my plan to revamp it - changing from tunnels to open caverns, to allow for elytra flight.
I mention that this is a work in progress, and is still being planned out.
Zedwick suggests we keep tunnels in some form, and I agree; tunnels are cool.
Stark offers to help, for the steep price of two dirt. Still in negotiations.

Afterwards, we bring up the Zookie Region that Jazz, Stark and myself have been working on.
Formerly known as Summit12, the newly named Riverrun will be the go to place for new players.
(I suggested MellisCool, but it didn't stick :/)

Here the council heads to Riverrun to examine the site, take in the sights, and tell us it's... great, actually.

Upon our return to Zen, we begin:
Topic 3 - Iron Farms

While Iron Farms (Meaning Iron Golem Farms) were disabled before, Golems only dropping roses, it has recently
been under heavy discussion. This discussion, evidently, followed into the meeting.

As Jazz is making a separate post that will open a discussion about iron farms on Zz, I will only touch upon this:
-The majority think that Iron Farms are a good idea
-The majority also think the market would change, not for the better, if iron farms became a thing
-Mellori still thinks RiverRun should have been MellisCool

Here we agree that it's too big of a decision to simply vote upon,
so Jazz volunteers to make a forum post discussing it.

Topic 4 - Zed's Announcements

Zed starts off this fortnight's episode of Zed's Announcements with something huge - nay, amazing.
He has changed the mob limit!!!!

The details of it are unknown (Most of us already knew about it) but it has something to do with Advancements!

Hey all, just got back from vacation. Thanks for the sign pointing out the issues with my shop. I'll fix the length; I must have missed the 25-length limit on the Zedwiki, which I do see now. Also I interpreted the "16x16 blocks or equivalent" instruction a little differently: I first decided on the width I wanted, then divided 256 into it and rounded to the nearest integer to get the length. But if the true limit is 256 claimblocks, I can clarify that on the wiki.

As for extending into the next district, may I humbly request an exception? First of all, is the cobblestone wall what defines the district boundaries? If that's what you're referring to, then I think we can work it out using the claim/trust mechanic, since the portion that extends past the wall is all underground. Let me also explain why I was excited to build it this way. I recently attended my friend's wedding, and one of the most magical parts of it was a wine tasting we attended at a family-owned vineyard. The shop was in front, and in the back of the room was the door to the cellar, which was dug into and under the hill. I thought it would be really neat to construct something like that in Zen. I planned to round out the underground portion into a tunnel like the one I saw, and add moss to mimic the "good mold" that was growing on the walls. I would really appreciate it if I could continue building my vision. I think it would not cause any problems for the other district if I either trust someone in my claim, or have a Zedkin claim the extending portion and trust me in it. That way the other district could still get what it needs on the surface. Thanks for your consideration!!!

And finally, I just want to make sure I understood something correctly. When I started building my shop, I was instructed to remove the items from my stall once the shop was finished. Am I to understand that the rule has changed, and I can keep my stall as long as I don't duplicate any trades?

Oh sorry, we decided one Zedkins that 16 by 16 should be the maximum and not extend past 16 to exactly circumvent these issues and make space distribution easier (and less complicated with the math ;) ). The rules on the wiki have not been updated and I apologize for that. I really should have caught that.

And yes, the borders are to be followed like the claims. Since in the future there might be something built on the cliff, your claim would interfere. Matthules and sprat's shop is also very close on the border but they still stayed outside the cliff. (I wouldn't mind being able to pretty up that ugly floating cliffside atop their shop though)
We might change up the claim system in the Merchant Quarter in the future too, so stay tuned for that.

But yeah, I do like your idea but the district concept of Zen is to keep nice spots like that cliff open for pretty buildings later and keep those opportunities for the best ideas.

Aw, okay. I appreciate the clarification on the size. I'll re-work my shop to fit the rules and rebuild the terrain under the other district. Perhaps I'll make a bigger version in another region.

How about the stall/shop question? I think also the wiki could use some mention of the stalls and the rules that govern them.

Currently the ruling is that you can keep your stall, if what you sells doesn't fit in your shop. We might ask you to vacate should we run out of space and stalls (not very likely currently)

should we ever finally built that Market Hall, Shop owners would not be allowed to have a stall but have single shops there... but that's a bridge we'll cross when we come to that.
