TestyMcPocketFace: A Temporary 1.13 Server For Everyone

I'd like to announce a brand new, very temporary, Minecraft 1.13 server here on Zedwork!

My hope is that this will provide you all with a place to explore the 1.13 update together whilst our regular servers are waiting back in 1.12.2, and provide us the opportunity to test all of the important and fun plugins of Zurvival. But perhaps we need something a little bit different here on Zedwork...

TestyMcPocketFace is a pvp-enabled, griefing and radiing allowed survival server. The server features land claim protection you can use to prevent grief of your builds, however players are allowed to do whatever is in their power to try to circumvent that protection. You may also kill anyone on-sight, if you so choose to. When building your own fortress within your claims, perhaps ensure you can lock your doors to prvent intruders from entering. (wooden doors and trapdoors are not locked in claims, but buttons and levers are). With that said, this is not a pure anarchy server. We expect you to remain relatively civil; stay your kind selves out there, try not to legitimately upset your fellow players with overly aggressive or trollish behaviour.

The world is temporary, as are all builds within. There may be bugs in Minecraft, the spigot server software or the plugins in use which either directly or indirectly lead to the destruction of what you have built.

Currently the server features land claims and region posts. Other features will follow, including PocketUHC-style fast-pace survival gameplay to help you in starting out or recovering from loss quicker.

If you do discover any issues, please post them as a response to this topic.

Server address: latest.zedwork.co.uk:25567

Good thing we don't have very many other announcements up right now, or it might start to look crowded up there...

I just wanted to clarify - Modded clients are not allowed, yes? I assume this is the case, but few rules to some may mean no rules to others.

In addition - what about above-the-bedrock in the nether? TNT Duplication? AFK Fishing (though stupid)? The list goes on, but those are the main ones I wanted to be sure were/were not allowed.

Although for my own testing needs some modded clients might be helpful, I do not think they would be welcome by the other players.

No, none of the above are allowed. Thank you for asking for clarification.

I've had a weird issue with placing something on top of a workbench.

The only way I could would if i sneak and aim at the workbench, if I aimed at the wall behind it wouldn't place regardless of if I'm sneaking.
It just felt really buggy. Here's a video:

(I dunno if that's like a common 1.13 bug or even if this is the proper place to report it. sorry if it isnt)

Odd..

Can you confirm there was no claim protecting that block, but not going deep enough to cover the crafting table? Does this occur elsewhere in the world? What if you replace the crafting table with a different block?

This is the place for any issue you experience on TestyMcPocketFace.

Actually, I went back and i noticed that i cannot mine the blocks behind the crafting bench, so my guess is that they are somehow protected, even if it says it's unclaimed. The right side isn't protected, that's where I mined some lapis which is another reason why it was confusing. Here's a screenshot with the coords:

(194 14 114 is the block)

Maybe there's something above

K, Ima chicken.

Says on loggin that a player is protected from attack as long as their inventory is empty, and then they automatically get a book? Like, I was still standing on the post.

Does the book break the protection?

From what I can tell from looking at the code currently on github, it looks like the book will break protection because the plugin doesn't look to consider the book. There are other factors that affect your pvp immunity, mostly just a short window after joining and empty inventory though.

What I was looking at only checks if you have items every minute, and it may not count for a few moments. However, the plugin will cancel your immunity if you pickup an item (and I'm not sure if it giving you a book will trigger that, seems doubtful), or if you interact with a chest you have access to by the looks.

At any rate, in any instance where pvp immunity is disabled, it looks like it should send you a message saying you're vulnerable, so hopefully that'll be the most hopeful sign.
