Hey so I logged on today and saw this message, Since I have built quite alot of things in my region, what will happen? Will I have to take what I things I want and ditch the rest or whats the go? I'm kind of confused about this. Cheers

I've been hoping to catch you online to talk it through with you.

I've been offering to move builds which are outside the border, re-locating them to inside the border at a location of the build owners' choosing. You've easily got the most stuff I've seen built out there, so am not sure what to do. I can move each building individually, would rather not copy large areas en masse as it'd mess up the landscape. I have had to expand the border to cover some builds which were on or just beyond the border, unfortunately your area is a little farther out than I am comfortable expanding the border to (for just one build, at-least) as that greatly increased the size of the world, and the distance players will have to travel to reliably find 1.7 land generation. (After the initial border goes up, and the world beyond the border has been wiped, the border will expand to generate new 1.7 land)

So your options are:

• Grab your stuff, move on to settle somewhere inside the border
• Have me relocate each building individually. (only above ground structures, unless you ask me repeatedly until I agree to do it)
• Make me copy the whole area, with some simple landsmoothing in the new location to blend the terrain.
• Have me help you dismantle your builds, dropping the blocks for you to pick up and stow in chests to be relocated (maybe combine with the second option to relocate some, destroy others. Whatever you want, sir!)
• Wait until the last possible moment in-case I am forced to expand the border, running the risk of me forgetting about you and enforcing the border.

Sorry to do this to you. I'd intended, quite foolishly, to avoid limiting the world size when I first opened Zedwork. But I've come to discover the merits of doing so; reducing the strain on the server from explorers generating new terrain (with a border, I can pre-generate the world), reduced file size (we upgraded to SSDs, but at the loss of disk space. We've been hurtling towards running out of space), making it much easier to find new land after an update (We can all know how far out the world border had been set, and will know after updates that anything beyond that distancewill be new land).

Hopefully you can forgive me for kicking you off your land

Okay coolies, I think ill go with this option:

Ohhh geeze.

Your area is massive, you're going to need to find a new location inside the border which is clear to paste your entire area in. Maybe pick a nice ugly spot for me to obliterate?

Use your coords to work out the width/length of the area I'm going to be copying, and try to run the whole target area to make sure there isn't anything which would be replaced.

When you've found a spot, do /helpme Please paste my builds into this area!

I'll poke you on steam to come on when I move it, to make sure I do it right

Be sure to do /helpme I have built outside the border! when standing in your build, so I can check. If you do not see the message when building, though, you are safe. The border is actually further out that 10k, but I still say 10k as the border is circular, so x=9k y=9k is actually outside the border if it were 10k (which gets confusing trying to explain xD). If you don't see the message shown above in the chat when building, you are fine.
