[Zurvival] Explosions and Horses

Zed has been making things better! ^_^

For some time on Zedwork, creating explosions has been an annoyance. Only exploding below ground, but TnT could not be placed outside of claims. One had to claim the land, place TnT and then unclaim before activating the TnT in order to break the surrounding blocks as they did no damage inside claims, even below ground. This was not always the case, but a recent (as of yet unfinished) overhaul of the claims plugin we use has created many problems. We are using a development build of this overhauled plugin as these are the builds compatible with Minecraft 1.7.

Explosions galore! You can now place TnT outside claims, when underground. You can also destroy your precious things inside claims by enabling explosions for each claim individually by standing in said claim, and entering '/claimexplosions' in the chat. Once explosions are enabled, anything below ground will be ruined by TnT. Currently, though, above ground is still protected from explosions inside claims. I am not sure if this should change, so would like to hear your thoughts. Keep the rules uniform (TnT only below ground, might be unexpected that your build is less protected with in a claim when lighting TnT) or give the player the freedom and responsibility to prevent disaster, or create disaster, in their own claim no matter the height they choose to build at? Give me your thoughts!

On to the new protections for Horses. Horses have been trouble when combined with player claims. You can tame yourself a horse, then ride it out to visit your friends. Get off your horse when arriving in their claim and then suddenly find YOUR horse belongs to another player, simply because it resides in their claim. You, of course, cannot ride another player's horse. So, your horse is stuck and you have to walk home. This is no longer the case.

When you tame a horse, you are registered as that horse's owner. You may ride him freely in and out of claims, and will not be prevented from interacting with your horse no matter who owns the claim it is in. Similarly, other players cannot ride your horse even if it is out in the wilderness without a claim anywhere near, nor can your horse be killed by any other player. Your horses will always be safe. But, here comes the problems! Now you want to, or have already, given or sold your horse to another player. That player did not tame the horse, and so is not registered as its owner. Said player will be unable to ride the horse, as you are still registered as the owner. But fear not, for you can transfer ownership of your horses!

To transfer ownership of a horse to another player, the horse must be inside a claim owned by the same player who owns the horse. The new owner must have been given build access to the claim with /Trust, this enables riding the horse. If the owner of the horse is online, and the other player has build access to the claim, when riding the horse ownership will be transfered to the new owner. Both the original owner, and the new owner, will be notified of this change in ownership. And that's it, now the new owner will be able to ride their horse freely across the world and will be able to repeat this process to change ownership of the horse to a third player (or back to the original owner).

Please try both of these new(or old) features out, thoroughly testing them to ensure they work as they should.

Is it possible for multiple players to share ownership of a horse, or would ownership need to be transferred every time?

If the horse is parked in the owners' claim, and another player has /trust to that claims, that player can ride the horse. Ownership will only transfer if the owner is online at the time, but a /trust'd player can ride it regardless. You could set up a fun system with two claims near each other, and be sure to park the horse in the current owners' claim/stable when you're finished with it. That'd probably be the easiest solution to sharing a horse without problems.

Thanks. I'll definitely give this a try :)
