Poor Dogzack123 had to row 3 shulkers to the portal as we killed a few, there was a lot of trial and error.

That's very strange, I did something similar and was unable to get it into the portal. I will see about trying again i creative with a few different pistons, like you have here, instead of one.

Additionally, could you tell me if the shulker needed to be in a certain position, or if there are any more requirements that you found out that I may not have?

Leave a spawn block in front of the portal or a bedrock block, use a piston without a block on it, repeat till you get it
