in the last meeting i brought up the idea of custom death messages

ex: frodo_gamgee believed he could fly, it wasn't enough

so zed told me to make a post on here with the idea of resource packs, because in normal survival you cant edit death messages

I wouldn't mind some like this: BigBuilderAl was slain by Spider because HE SUCKS!!!

i would love to see this happen

example: blueumbreon thought that lava was water and water was lava, he was so wrong

Would this be an addon resource pack that layers on top of whatever resource pack you have chosen? I personally wouldn't like it if the server forced a texture pack on us, and I know many players use different resource packs.

The server certainly wouldn't force a texture pack on you, you will be goven a chose to download and use it when connecting to the server. My assumption is that it overlays as a top level resource pack, but I have not confirmed this.

I been thinking if some one knows how why not, see if they would make a server resource pack, not just for the words but for bricks and dirt and trees and other things too, so you not only get the things that tell you how you died but also give you a nicer look for the server, that is custom to the server.
