Does anyone know where I can find some wither skeletons? I've been looking around nether fortresses and haven't found any yet... please help me.

They are not exclusive to nether forts

Yes they are, wither skeletons only spawn in nether fortresses which were generated after 1.4 was released.

Yeah, I've found one, and explored the entire thing... but I didn't find any...

the mob spawning problem seems to have been sorted have another look maybe youll find one now

aye, they are rare(r) spawning mobs, and them dropping a skull is a low chance as well. I think I killed 10-15 today by chance though.
