So I had a few ideas that hopefully could help on the server. First I would like to give an idea about the lobby. What if we made the lobby accessible at all times? Like for example a region post can bring you to the lobby by doing /visitregion lobby. Also what if we turn the lobby into the spawn point as well. So say a new player joins. They spawn in the lobby. But how would they know all the regions? We could make another book with a list of all the regions and it can be given to the player with the other two books. (I would be willing to help with getting the region posts.)

Now here is another idea I have would be another form of teleporting. On my last server we had this command that would allow us to teleport to one specific person. So for example. Say I decide I want to teleport to zedwick. I would type /tpa zedwick. Now a message would pop up on zedwicks screen saying "bs02143 would like to teleport to you. do /tpaccept to allow him to teleport or /tpdeny to deny his request. Now this would eliminate the long runs from the region posts to the person you're trying to get to. I don't know the name of the plugin or if it is a plugin to begin with. But I can simply ask the owner of my last server and I am sure he would tell me. There is also a set of commands for it that come with it for staff. Staff member don't have to ask permission. So zedwick can just do /tp bs02143 and he will be where ever I am. There is also a command for staff to teleport a player to them. /tphere . Staff could also disable the ability of other staff teleporting to them by doing /toggletp . High ranking staff however can override it by doing /tpo .

I feel that these two ideas could really help the server.

With regards to the lobby, at the moment it does not really give players much besides a place to talk/hang out whilst the server restarts. It's not meant to be an additional server for players to choose to go to, I know some players would love to go there to continue with the parkour; but it was only meant to be a distraction during our downtimes to keep you entertained. I just don't want to dedicate resources whilst the main server is up to the lobby server.

Zedwork is primarily a vanilla survival server. We don't give you extra powers or tools to help you in your adventures, and giving you additional teleportation powers would ruin that experience. The region posts are set up to give you means of getting around, to allow for visiting other people. They are the best compromise to allow you to play with other people, no matter where they are in the world, whilst not detracting from the survival aspect. /home actually detracts from the core survival experience, but at the same time it's just no fun to completely lose your home. You can fairly easily get to a nearby region post if you want to travel over large distances, you don't need to cheat with a second /home

Agree with Zed on the idea of /tp commands. Although sometimes it would sure be nice, it also detracts. Generally when people bring it up I note to, "Be thankful we have /home!" I know some folks have elected to disable their home feature, but I love it :d

Additionally, it is my experience that /tpa can be used to assist wrong doers. once a person has tricked u into allowing them access to your position, then they can just bother you or do other harm , best to just deny that opportunity
