Banned for griefing?

Hello, I'm a new player that just got on today like 5min ago and was banned for "griefing" even though I was just taking some food from the community garden as I was told I could do from some other player on the server. I was planning on replanting but was banned right after I broke the first wheat. I'm really confused right now and I would like to get back on the server to start playing as it was the type of server I have been looking for for a while. Thank you.

You broke a lever sometime before you reached the farm, and that is why you were banned. On this occasion you have been unbanned. Please be more careful. Welcome back.
