To start I am complete new to the Minecraft scene and tried to join up as an apprentice of real life coworker Hode for the first time. Wanted to get helping with his projects, and experience some of the fun times I have enjoyed on youtube;

I didnt know EarthCow's handle yet, and Hode became busy in game. They were unable to come escort me to show me the ropes and give me the initial hand holding.

I made the daunting mistake of trying to make the mountainous journey towards their group, without any weapon/clothes/axe.
I had read not to break blocks of building users had created, but did not think the crops I came across that I was replanting would be so frowned upon. I was going to finish replanting and try to survive a cold unprepared night as a nomad under a
lifesaving torch light

Unfortunately I underestimated the seriousness of user placed items and seemed to have been banned in the aftermath. Could have been other out of place blocks in the ground/mines since I was young to the server too

If this could be accepted as mistake, I really just want to follow the rules and respect everyone's hard work in there.
I have chatted with Hode and EarthCow who can vouche for me and have explained to me in depth

I will unban you, as it seems this was an error on your part. Please be more careful in the future. You are just responsible for replanting if you harvest farms.

MrGoodness was banned again for breaking an ender chest in the mine that I asked him to break while teaching him about ender chests and silk touch picks.

I was not aware the mine was a protected zone and there are no signs posted stating so. As a new zedling this is very frustrating as I'm trying to bring more zedlings to the server to help us in the mine. Good people, not grievers.

Please unban MrGoodness and better communicate what "high value blocks" are as well as label "protected zones" This information is not on the warning banner at spawn.

I had already unbanned MrGoodness at this time.

The entire server is protected against new players breaking blocks placed by other players that they would not normally have access to based on the time they have spent on the server. Mostly, this is good enough to avoid groups of new players joining who want to play together as they are all playing at around the same pace. I will not go through exactly how to avoid this automated system, because I do not want to make it any easier for griefers to bypass this and destroy everything you hold dear on the server.

Any friends you bring on should avoid breaking blocks you have placed until they have played the full 15 hours to reach Zedling. Breaking natural blocks in your mine will not lead to an automated ban, nor would using any blocks you have placed.

Of course, we will be happy to urban them should they be banned unjustly. It is unfortunate that this sometimes happens, but we feel this inconvenience is a small price to pay to avoid the heartbreak that comes with being griefed. Hope you understand.
