Misunderstanding got me banned

So i joined the server today (18/7) and got some help from some fellow players in starting a house for myself.
One of the players told me i could use one of the buildings he once made ( i guess ). and a sign on the door said "free to claim"
So i made sure to ask if i was allowed to start chopping the building down and i got confirmation.
This is when i got banned (i guess automatically)

I read that only zedlings can break blocks from other people and maybe that's where i went wrong?
I hope i have explained what went wrong.

I will unban you. As you have noticed you may not break blocks placed by other players until you achieve Zedling (after 15 hours of play). Sorry you fell foul of our automatic ban. Welcome back.
