Following the buildoff tomorrow, there will be a firework show at spawn! ABP has been laying redstone and gunpowder all over the place at spawn and promises a ten minute display!
Should be good! That'll be sometime between 9 and 9:30pm gmt tomorrow, Sunday 17th!

Frabjous Day, Callooh Callay, Forseth was in attendance! Having missed the Halloween inspired meeting he whipped out a cautionary true tale.
Some fiend used withcraft and deception to take control of his minecraft account! He spoke to zed/lb and Mojang and managed to retrieve the account from this scoundrel, but wanted to pass on a warning.
Make sure your passwords are secure, have your email address in your account. 
Zed added on that if you do not have your account migrated over, or do not have your transaction details/original payment, your account may be lost! Stranger Danger! 

===Outwitting thieves would be ''ACE''RPROPSY===
The banhammer gets lonely, what with a lack of nails in minecraft. Luckily spawn is rigged with all sorts of simple machinations to try and nip would-be malcontents in the bud. By 'nip', read 'hammersmoosh'; by 'bud', read 'noggin'. 
One of these things is surreptitious chests in houses, laden with riches. They are currently empty, an impotent venus fly trap unable to catch flies. 
Zed explains that the chests normally replenish themselves, but have currently gone a bit rogue, swapping 'put things in chests' to 'remove everything from chests', which is less handy for their intended purpose. 
Several members offered to put some shiny things in the chests, but zed patiently (like a grandpa) re-explained that the chests were emptying themselves so it would not really fix the issue, putting more things in to be emptied. 
A replacement is in the works! Perhaps they'll rig the trapped chests to be like the ones in DungeonDash (fatal) or Dark Souls (painful, if jaunty) 

===Zedlings I''LEAUking'' for better Villager trading===
Ileau asked whether Mobgrief can be tinkered with to allow villagers to work as intended without the less friendly mobs destroying us all.
Short answer, still no. 
One suggestion was turning on Mobgrief (yay villagers) but turning the blast radius of creepers to 0 (#noboom). This was turned down because no-one really liked the mental image of creepers just sitting there, staring, hissing constantly. 
Zed pondered whether, in the process of the everything-breakage Mojang is contriving in 1.13, they may inadvertently add something that allows Villagers to grief pragmatically, but it becomes a wait-and-see (or rather, wait-and-probably-not-see) situation. 

===Empress''Basement''y has announcements===
The Fish Basement, which was our location for the evening, is now officially open to the public! It is an impeccably designed and decorated guardian farm with a shop, several fun mazes and more fish than the proprietors know what to do with. 
You can access it through the Savannah Springs nether hub, red wing. Not sure on how something works? speak to EmpressBethany or ABParadigm! 
They gave shoutouts to stumps290, ACERPROSPY, Dragonmaster and Raysun for the various works they put in to help the place become as fishy and glorious as it is. 
As co-mayor of newest warp River Bend, EB also wanted to announce the ''Iron Fall'', which is FREE TO USE to all, zookie to guardian! Stand underneath and have metal drop on your head to your heart's content 
It's in River Bend, next to the map and nether portal! Shout out to Raysun for his work in creating it 
Also shout out (c-c-combo breaker) to stumps again for help with River Bend iron farm!

-Winter Zestygames are open! A couple of favouriteZ have a chilly yuletide makeover, Bridge Wars and Words with Zedlings, and are free for anyone to start up! 
They have currently gotten rave reviews like "It's probably not broken now!" Give it a go using /zestygames! 
-TOMORROW, SUNDAY 17th, 4pm-9pm GMT - Casual Buildoff! Zed has been busy getting people to make trees that he can use in this decorate-a-thon! Pick a tree, decorate it up, feel good about your choices. Followed afterwards by ABP's aforementioned fireworks! 
-LATER THAN TOMORROW, SUNDAY 31st, 4pm-9pm GMT - Serious Buildoff! For prize and glory and the discerning judgement of Zed and LadyBountiful, theme TBA on the day 

===Nominations/Next Meeting===
stumps290 was nominated to the council! They were willing but potentially unable to host the next meeting, and ABP unsuccessfully volunteered Dax to do it until EB threw her bonnet on the table. 
Luckily then someone pointed out the actual date of the next meeting (superficial thing like that, when it's actually occurring) and stumps re-volunteered himself!
