LousyMiner is an aging Minecrafter who joined the Zedwork Zurvival server in December 2020. Some versions ago, Lousy had a brief sojourn on Rendog's DogCraft SMP server but didn't receive anything like the welcome received on joining Zedwick's Zurvival community.
As a consequence, Lousy is active on the Zedwork Forum under the same name, making inane suggestions and generally questioning the status quo with equal amounts of base ignorance and good intention, and has offered to assist with bringing and keeping some of these Wiki pages up to date.
This user page is therefore more of a training ground than a showpiece!
Presence
Humble Base
On first logon to the server, and exploring the function of Region Posts, Lousy settled on the Minecart region, mainly because it looked uninhabited. There is evidence of previous attempts at settlement in the immediate vicinity but, as none of the builds are currently claimed, it has been checked and confirmed that no rules have (yet) been broken.
Yet? Well strictly speaking, Lousy came close a couple of times, yes in less than a month, and had knuckles moderately rapped, but avoided the Ban Hammer. As penance, the most complete abandoned local build contains a donated chest full of sympathetic materials in case the previous builder should return. It's also therefore a honey pot for griefers which is regularly checked!
At the present time, the base is a simple four storey affair with storage on the ground floor, smelting and crafting in the basement, living on the first floor and enchanting in the attic plus small farms dotted around it. Currently in the planning stage is a mob grinder on a small claim just off the shore to the east.
Spoils of Raw (was War)
After achieving Zedling status, Lousy requested and received a stall in the Market in Zen, primarily to sell surplus gains from the simple grinder converted from a skeleton dungeon in the mine below the Humble Base.
The wares currently available are arrows, bone blocks, dispensers, droppers and Jack O'Lanterns. If more than 10 transactions worth of any one commodity are desired, please get in touch for volume discounts, subject of course to available stock. If anyone happens across the skeleton grinder, feel free to grab some XP compliments of Lousy but the drops will go into the chests. There's no such thing as a free lunch!
The stall was moved to a new larger location when Jack O'Lanterns were added. At the same time, the stall was renamed as Spoils of War was a lie, it wasn't so much battling for the resources needed as bartering and mining.
Gratitude
Thanks are offered to the following fellow server players, in chronological order of making their acquaintence:
- TheGiantHog for some very generous donations on first arrival on the server, including the subsequently enhanced enchanted Diamond Pickaxe now known as the Pickaxe from TheGiantHog. Yes, cryptic and imaginative it isn't! However, it's a momento.
- OGBEN_, who also happens to be a Zedkin, for being a most excellent, hopefully willing, ever present, very patient and informative sounding board for Lousy's random questions and madcap suggestions. OGBen_ appears to spend a significant amount of time on the server.
- Mellorian, another Zedkin, for being active on the forum, answering queries, providing guidance and being part of the Mellorian/Memery duo who appear to be responsible for a lot of the content on this Wiki.
- LadyBountiful, one of two Guardians who monitor the servers for griefing and other nefarious conduct. She's eminently fair, giving people the benefit of the doubt and a rap across the knuckles as often as a ban. Game Moderation is an art, not a science!
- Zedwick, the eponymous, self-appointed benevolent dictator for life, and other Guardian, whose generosity enables us to play this game together in the community formed on his servers.
