Warning!

IProBlanchard, GEMINI7099, BigBuilderAl all have 3 strikes. If they don't show up or have an excuse by next meeting, they will be dropped from the council.

Finally, I would like to know if the following are still on the coucil:

GrimTent, NinjaNoob684, Purps68, bartman51, wperks26, FlipJe2Go

They were on the Coucil thread and I don't remember seeing them as of late.

Topics

Grand museum of the swamp

Dax23333 is making a museum in the swamp biome where he is mayor and was looking for ideas. Suggestions where: Mob museum, Biome museum, Block museum, Christmas stuff museum, Gems in different forms museum, maps and location of warps, Villager museum, build-off awards and records of such, music discs and other rare items. Security issues with the museum was brought up. With so much rare items, the possibility of theft was high. A suggestion was for the museum to be surrounded by obsidian and the only entrance to be connected to the nether hub. It was also debated using auto-ban as well as designs for the museum but nothing was decided there.

Jungle and Savannah warp revival

SneakySkeleton wanted the Jungle and Savannah warps to be restored and reused since they currently are mostly abandoned. Zedwick suggested that it was easier to make new warp areas than to clear out the old ones. Another suggested that making them community projects was a good way of building them into new towns. The discussions led to a suggestion that the server rotates or cycles the active warps, making some of the unused warps active for a time. It was discussed that one of the "Zedling+" warps should remain fixed during this cycle. However nothing was decided at the meeting at that point.

Player cap

FoxyTheHusky brought up that there is an increasing number of playing on the server and suggested that the player cap for the server should be increased. The council discussed the topic and came to the conclusion (with a final word from Zedwick) that there rarely where more than 20 players online and it could cause more lag than the server could handle. Therefore the player cap is unchanged as of this moment.

Auction house

RageSquid wanted to auction away his tools but didn't know a proper place for it. LadyBountiful (and others) reminded the council of the auction house at the market and SneakySkeleton promised to make sure it was in working order for RageSquid. It was also brought up that there used to be a topic on the forum for such things but it isnt used anymore.

Cooperative building event

There was a suggestion from PanoramaJos for a community wide event where players are relocated into the wild and build together. The idea was for the players to be given a theme and then build together for that theme. It was discussed back an forth and the following was suggested: Random theme - Everyone who participates in the event submits a theme and a random one is chosen. Zedwicks Chaotic Idea - A number of people (ex. 10) , each puts a theme into the hat, each person gets a random idea from that hat. The players then collaborate unto one build but while trying to incorporate their own theme into the build (While keeping their theme a secret of course). Also it was suggested that no one should be able to remove a block during this event, only place new ones. In the end, nothing was decided but the author of the topic was suggested to bring the idea to the forum.

End farm anvils

BengalBoi brought up that players aren't refilling the anvils at the end.. or someone is stealing them. Either way he suggested that no one refills them anymore and that everyone brings their own anvils. At least until 1.9 where new changes will have to be made to the farm anyway. Zedwick suggested that Zriends gets a bit of a command tool to check if any of the anvils have been mined in order to keep it under control. The council approved both BengaBoi's and Zedwick's ideas, however If or when Zedwick implements this is uncertain and up to him. This means that you have to bring your own anvils to the end if you need them. BengalBoi also urged players not to throw thrash in the soul sand. The system allows Ender Pearls through but anything else blocks the system. If you have things to dispose of, throw the unto the cactus

GrimTent stepping in for Memery and DannyC96

Since neither Memery or DannyC96 wont be on the server for quite some time, LadyBountiful wanted someone to step in for them as mayor of Forest Hills. She had asked GrimTent who apparently said he would be available. The council voted and was in agreement that he would be a good stand-in. So unless he has any objections, GrimTent is now the stand-in Mayor of Forest Hills with all its responsibility. Good luck GrimTent!

Mayor of the Jungle warp

BengalBoi wanted to bring the Jungle warp up to speed and asked for himself to be nominated as its Mayor. LadyBountiful nominated him and we all approved. Congrats BengalBoi!

Council thread on the forum

Zedwick mentioned that there is a thread on the forum containing all the information about the coucil he could remember. He urged all the council members to respond in that thread if they remembered anything else or if he missed something. It was also discussed that the scribes should after each meeting go to that thread and update the information. He also wanted us to go through the old meetings records for anything he missed. It was also suggested that we made a update to that thread as part of the council meeting, at the end before council nominations. That way the scribe knows what needs to be added to the topic that week.

Is he late or did he miss it?

The council discussed whether or not to implement a time limit for the late arrivals for the meetings. The idea was to count all members that arrived after a certain amount of time as not present. Thus gaining a "strike". However after much discussion we decided to push the topic to the next meeting.

Topics for next meeting

Is he late or did he miss it? - continues. 1.9 update and what it means. New council members.

Next Meeting Host

The next council meeting will be on 29/08/15 and will be hosted by Dax23333
