Topics:

AFK Rules - Funky

Stop the presses, actual discussion took place in the meeting agenda thread asking for clarity on the rules regarding AFK farms. The AFK kick is not meant to be bypassed - fish farms were previously tolerated due to Zed's lack of understanding of their mechanics. They would not have been approved had he known then what he did now. The rule needs to be reinforced more evenly, and Zed used the meeting to announce:

Players using an AFK fish farm and similar devices may expect to be kicked into the lobby by a guardian. Anyone caught being afk for hours may have their fish farm disabled.

Are you concerned about other ways the kick could be bypassed? Tell Zed them via pm/forum message - he is planning a technical method to enforce a kick even when using a farm and he can use your thoughts to build in appropriate countermeasures.

Inappropriate skins - Marco

Some new players seem to have 'detailed' nude skins on the server. Zed advised that guardians have previously asked players to change skins on a case-by-case basis if they were not appropriate for Zedwork. If you have a concern about a player's skin, let a guardian know via PM.

Market/Trade Shenanigans - __M

Several players raised concerns about players asking for stuff for free or a much reduced rate, only to sell it at the market for a profit, or players deceiving others into the worth of their goods so that they can turn a higher profit. Several council members details their own personal experiences with this, both in open chat and private messaging. There was much discussion on the ethicality of this, and how it could be tackled without messing with the free enterprise and open pricing of the market.

Talk of a 'price guide' for players raised concerns on being hard to maintain and agree upon (as price of goods varies from seller to seller) and could just be used by players to undercut the 'going' market rate. Another suggestion was a personal blacklist for player-owned shops, but people were unsure how this could be enforced.

If you feel you have encountered fraudulent or manipulative behaviour in the market or private messaging with a player, raise it with a guardian in private so they can mediate disputes and take appropriate action.

Large Land Claims - ABParadigm

Following on from a topic in a previous meeting, while being adventurous ABP has come across many large biomes, including rare ones (ie ice spike, mega taiga) very far from eachother that have been claimed by signs.
It was determined that land claims needed a definitive border as opposed to a few signs - if a player has a concern or issue with a land claim they can go to the guardians for clarification/assistance. That said, remember especially with remote land claims to keep a respectful distance for your own claims/builds.

Market organisation - Marco

Marco suggested the market needed to be more organised, with the book shop perhaps being relocated to the end market (with other enchanted books)
While the council did not agree on relocating the book store, it was generally agreed that a guide for market visitors would assist in buyers finding the goods they need and sellers finding the right places to sell their wares. Sneaky is going to look into turning one of the tower of trades floors into a navigation area for this purpose.

No-border days - Marco

This was probably the most sprawling topic - having no world border would solve many certain issues (like the scarcity of rare biomes/zero woodland mansions within the border). However there are several issues to iron out prior to implementation (such as what would happen to players if they logged out beyond where the border usually is). If these issues can be ironed out it is going to be a thing in the future (though not any time soon)
Other minor discussions:
-How to get advancements regarding woodland mansions/illagers - they will be possible, later, zed didn't want to artifically make end-game-related advancements artifically accessible
-Resetting chunks inside the world border like in the end - less likely than resetting chunks outside the border as more complicated

Build-Off/UHC - Zedwick

The next Build-Off is going to be on June 25th! 4pm BST til 9pm BST, theme to be announced at the start of the buildoff.
Going forward Build--offs will be held on the last Sunday of every month!
The next UHC will take place on July 9th, 6pm BST! (as it's the 5th one, Spec's terrible-title suggestion is UHV)
Going forward UHCs will be hald on the second Sunday of every month! Get building and/or murdering respectively!

MurderGames - ABParadigm

ABP raised a request by ElixirLuv to have a PVP zestygame - Zed advised there was one being worked on by a zedling, and several other players mused their own ideas for how to kill eachother.
The new functions brought on by 1.12 could help with a more collaborative approach to zestygames - can't think of a whole game, but can think of a good skill or a way to balance teams? Share it on the forum!
Zed has also started creating a collection of tutorials for command blocking on the Zedwiki that people are welcome to peruse and add to.

Off-server UHC advertising - Zedwick

Zed is considering promoting UHC events off-server to UHC enthusiasts. The general response was a mix of 'why not, we'll be killed anyway' and a want to keep the UHC's within the community. The conclusion was to have an additional UHC hosted in the middle of the week to be promoted off-server, with the now-montly standard UHC being zedwork-only.

Minigames II - Marco

Marco wondered how player-made minigames could be shown to Zed. He advised sending him a download link through the forums (suggesting mega.co.nz as a hosting site). There are no particular rules regarding what needs done as the minigames are an ongoing experiment, but players should make their games in a void world for better performance. Zed is happy to discuss ideas with players and give feedback on preview versions to try and get it to a version that can go live on Zedwork.

End of Meeting

There were no nominations, and Swayed_Light agreed to host the next meeting!
