[LVS] Warp Towns, rules and elections!

[LVS] Warp Towns, rules and elections!

Postby FancySquid » Sat Nov 22, 2014 9:45 pm

In the last meeting on November 22nd, we spoke about setting up towns in Spawn Warps
(Currently Savannah, Swamp, Hills and Jungle)

We decided that we would set up each town up one by one instead of all at once, first we are going to set up the Hill's Town

Some rules for each town:
The towns are going to be run by the Council, but the Council will elect a Mayor or Group in charge of setting up the town and reporting progress to the Council

Each town may have it's own unique name, laws, government, colors or economy

If the current leader of the town is inactive or does not fulfill their duties, the Council is free to re-elect a new leader of said town

While the leader of the town has almost all control over it, the Council may make any changes they want

These rules are for the warp towns only, not all towns in general, feel free to make your own town elsewhere

Towns can make their own rules, which will be presented at the entrance you get warped to

If you build in the town, you must follow the rules. There may be rules that say the Leader/Council can remove your build (if it meets certain criteria such as inactive for too long)

All builds made before the town was established cannot be removed by the Leader/Council without permission from the build's owner or a Guardian

You must be a Zedling+ to run a warp town

As of now we have no mayors or government for the Hill's Warp Town

If you think you could run the Hill's Warp Town nominate yourself by replying

Also you may include reasons why you think you could run the town well or ideas for the town

You can reply to support another person becoming Mayor/Leader as well

The council will be voting on the mayor in the next meeting, good luck to all!

I nominate myself, Bartman51, to be mayor of Hill's warp town!

Mayor? that title doesn't really suit me..

I nominate myself, Bartman51, to be the Supreme Over Lord of Hill's warp town!

Supreme Over Lord certainly has a nice ring to it.. but if I'm the only one running the town then I won't get as much creative input from others!

I would like to propose two people to be in charge of the town, myself and SneakySkeleton21

Awhile ago Sneaky approached me with the idea of turning all the warps into towns

We had a long discussion about it and started talking about what we could do with certain locations, and I think we came up with a very nice plan for the area!

If you elect us as... er.. Co-Supreme Over Lords of Hills Warp Town..? we will make a great town and pay attention to the needs of the town's community

Also well think of a more fitting title

Thank you for your time

I nominate myself, Jaywalker7, to be the Czar of Hills Town

I am familiar with the surrounding area, know many of the residents, and have already been building there for a while. I live there too!

I have already been working on various community areas, like the community farm. My main project has been the rail system, it is quite spectacular so far! Check it out if you haven't.

Also, I want to have multiple leaders per town, so I would love to have co-mayors!

Good luck to all!
~Jay

Experience: (Not advertising or anything) I have play on another server which was purely hardcore economy and contained around 500 users. There were ranks that went from Resident all the way to President, then Tycoon, and then Eco-Leader. I achieved the highest rank and controlled around 4 towns each 200x200 in area. I know how to deal with unruly users, griefers, and wanna-be mayors. I also know how to setup a great town that is newbie-friendly but also attracts experienced users with a great deal of resources. I am quite active on the zedwork lvs server and I would love to have the opportunity to be an elected mayor of the hills town. I'd name the town "Wolf Thorne" (If I am allowed to name it by myself.)

Lastly, I'd be happy to have 2-3 mayors of the hills town with me. (a council/mini government I guess).

POSTSCRIPT: I'd like to be called the "Alpha Wolf" of the town. (if that's allowed)

Thanks,
Zecrux

As bart said earlier in the post, I had a long discussion with him about the potential of the Hills Warp, and we discussed many ideas that could be put in the town.
I think we are voting for the town mayors in the next Council Meeting (6th Dec)

I would love to have the oppotunity to be elected mayor of the Extreme Hills, but I know many others may want he position too.
I also see alot of potential in the Jungle Warp, if we clear out the trees, and maybe some land.

All of the Warps have loads of potential, I would love to be elected mayor of one of these warp towns. Hills, is the newest and most popular warp town, so has a load of potential, so does Jungle, although not as popular, and may need a lot more work done to it. :)

Hi,

I would like to be mayoress of Savannah should the position come up for election. I'm very keen to establish Savannah as a peaceful place to live and as an exploration base for the nearby oceans. I am also very keen to make it a nice base for new zedlings.

I currently have a house there, but sadly it is no longer my main base since I have moved to Spawn.

Some of the improvements that I have been working at Savannah on include:

- community stables at the warp
- an info center including maps of the area
- new roads and a flower garden around the warp
- a community vegetable garden
- replanting trees throughout the built up area
- a moosh farm, with a plan to release mooshes into the wilds

Hope you will vote for me when the time comes :)

kind regards,
Suzie
