Heeeere we go... ABP's long topic of your day that you totally didn't plan on spending here.

Nominating new members has had some issues recently, because the host of said meeting typically asks the non-members if they express interest into getting into the council. Many think this process is backward; that the current council members be asked if they want to nominate someone, THEN the one nominating a new member in turn ask if they do indeed want a chair on the council. Here is a color coded process, as I am sure my jumble of words made little sense.

Current Process:

Host asks Zedlings asked if they want a council seat.
Host asks for nominations.
Council Member nominates someone who wants a council seat.
Zedling is or is not voted into the council.

Proposed Process:

Host asks Council Members for nominations.
Council Member nominates Zedling.
Host asks Zedling if they want a council seat.
Zedling is or is not voted into the council.

Hopefully that color coding made it easier, and helped to clarify this topic.
