'What time is it?' I hear you ask. Well, dear reader, it's Zedkins Seconds time, as I'm sure you're well aware after you clicked on a topic called Zedkins Seconds. As per usual, we made a vast number of momentous decisions on the council, so let's crack on before I realise that I'm writing up the notes:
• Dragon Proofing - By now, we really should be making this some kind of traditional Zedkins opening topic, as it popped up for a third time this week. Zed promised that this week he would 'actually really look into it I promise', which we of course believed wholeheartedly. We got a bit distracted talking about how he'd go about solving it, but hopefully it will get done, which is nice.
• Kicking Non-attendees - As Zedkins is a dynamic and highly purposeful body, we're going to have to be constantly improving, sorting out the chaff from the wheat, taking bad apples out of the barrel, etc., and thus we instituted our rule of 4 strikes - a member will be kicked off the council if they don't attend 4 sessions. However, we decided to amend it at this meeting to allow members to redeem themselves from the grievous sin of not attending Zedkins, as they can remove a strike by attending two non-consecutive meetings. Treis on the main Zedkins post has the unenviable job of recording everyone's strikes, so check that out if you want to know about that.
• Who Votes on What - After the issue was brought up last week, we decided to talk about a discrepancy in the notes about which people could vote on what things in Zedkins - one record said everybody could vote on electing members, while the other said only members could. In the end, we decided that anyone should be able to participate in votes on who is elected, as long as 5 people are present, one of whom is already a member (check out the rule and regulations page if you're as confused as I am).
Zedkins really getting down to business
•A Brief Interlude
•A Resignation - I'm incredibly, unbelievably sad to say that this will be my last Zedkins for some time, as I'm approaching a busy time of exams and things (which I am definitely not merely using as an excuse to escape). Chester will be taking over in my absence - you must all be very nice to him.
• Attendees:
o Treiskaideka (Grand Generalissimo)
o Chester
o Sir Overskill
o Cuttlemaster
o Darthduck
o Zadwonk
o Lady B
o The1Shaw
o Kayzee
o Dogzack
o Applejack
o Excused: Lala
o Visiting: Eoam
And that roughly concludes this round of Seconds, which will be my last for a while. I do hope that this experience has been as thrilling and beautiful to read as it was to write. The next meeting (which I probably won't attend) will be on May the 14th.
