DungeonDash is getting its first feature update next week. To celebrate, I'd like to ask you one simple question! The first person to post the correct answer will win 1 month of free hosting of DungeonDash! This prize IS transferable, so if you are already supporting Zedwork as a Zesty+ Subscriber and can host DungeonDash any time you want, you may choose to give the ability to host to a friend ^_^



This update brings a new (super secret) playable class! You can see the class equipment in the image above. The question you must answer for the chance to win 1 month of free DungeonDash hosting is:

What ability does this class have, and what can it do with it?

The competition will run until the 9th of July, a little over 2 weeks after the new update lands on the 22nd of June. If you can't guess what it does before the update arrives, you'll still have two weeks to try to be the first person to unlock the new class and post what it does here! If there are no correct answers once the competition closes, A wild Dax will appear to select his favourite incorrect answer to win the prize. So get creative with your answers, even if its totally wrong you could still have a chance to win

Wee babby dagger makes me think of a Rogue, so I think the special ability is some kinda 'stealth' that inhibits/stops mobs from being able to see you for a while.

my guess is "Summoner Mage"

It has a wand, so clearly it's a mage. It has magic carrots so clearly it summons rabbits. It has xp bottles, so clearly that represents it's "mana" which everyone knows is magic energy.

The dagger is simply because it must have a weapon for close combat and one hand is already holding the wand.

You have two weeks to unlock the class and post here what it does to win! Or just get a really good guess, you don't have to be accurate to win, just interesting! At least if nobody else gets the real answer.
Remember, to find out how to unlock the class you'll need to look around the dungeon for clues. You'll find them quicker if you work together.

Well clearly the new class has to be the amazing, the astounding, the awe inspiring:

This class' ability will obviously allow it to use it's mystic staff - which is enchanted with a bucket of water, a bucket of lava and a chicken grafted to a stone pickaxe - to place singular blocks of cobble in the world with a simple right click, at the cost of twelve gold nuggets per cast as a sacrifice to the Cobble Federation. o-o

If this is not the case, then one can only presume such a class would be too awesome to be contained within the halls of Dungaree Dash. Therefore I offer the only plausible alternative:

It's clear that the so called "Staff" that the rare and powerful Guava Slingers tote is in fact a trébuchet with a guava attached to the top, ready to be launched at unsuspecting mobs and dungaree alike.

If both of the above are wrong, I retain the right to say you got it wrong, Dax.

This is obviously to do with a dark magic from the mobs souls. I think it is called something like; Soul Sucker or Staff Keeper or Skull Swallower.

The first item in hotbar is simply just a dagger, knife thing for short attacks.
The second item is the ammo, the powers the staff. Which itself is used to suck the life out of the mobs. I feel this only works on certain mobs though, such as the witch at the end, and evokers.

The Witch

An alchemist equipped with a large stack of potent brews. Right click with the ability stick to launch a Soul Trap which instantly kills most monsters and adds their effect to the potent brews. Effects of the powered up brews are varied and powerful.

Tezcatlip helped me from having to go back and look for Journal 2. He is the true founder.

Congratulations to iiWolfyyy who has successfully unlocked the Witch Class, and wins 1 month of free hosting for dungeon dash! I hope you use it well.

The class is easily the most versitile in the game, capable of setting up to do healing, damage dealing, supporting teammates with positive status effects or debuffing enemies. The experience bottles in the hotbar (Potent Brews) are made into throwable grenades the effects of which depend on what monsters have been hit with the ability. Different effects are obtained from different mobs, and you can have up to 3 effects at once. Fancy burning evoker fangs with a cluster bomb effect? Hit a Slime/Magma Cube, an Evoker and a Blaze with your ability. The class upgrade lets you have an extra effect for a total of 4. Turns out having 1 more is quite good.

Thanks to everyone who entered, it was really great to have people chasing after clues and enjoying the hunt!

Dungeon Dash still has not had all its secrets uncovered yet though...
