"When will the server update?"

"When will the server update?"

Please note that i (QuDubz) am not in any way, shape, or form part of the staff on Zedwork, so any information in this post may or may not be accurate!

Minecraft 1.6 was released earlier today, and many of you are most likely wondering, when the server will update to 1.6, so that we can enjoy all of the new features (Horses ;) ).
The only answer that i can give you, is "When it's ready". When is that? Well.. First of all, bukkit has to be up and working for the new Minecraft version, and after that all of the servers plugins will need to be updated aswell.

The server may very well be ready for 1.6 within a couple of hours.. Or maybe a few weeks. Only Zedwick will know this for sure.

Just be patient, or jump to your singleplayer and test it all out while waiting for the server :)

I know less than you think I do xD

Bukkit development takes "as long as it takes" Occasionally they dare to give an estimation of time, but they are usually inaccurate.

Either way, players will be able to play with the update on the new minecraft 1.6 launcher and return to the server using their 1.5.2 launcher without any problems until the server is able to update so unlike with other updates in the past, there shouldn't be a huge rush for the server to update. It will happen when it happens so let's just play as usual until then~ ^_^
