Hey, don't rip on Windows 8.

Sure, the interface is bulky.

Sure, it's best suited for a touch screen.

Sure, it's just Windows 7 with an annoying home screen.

In all seriousness, Windows 8 isn't even that bad. It took some configuring to disable auto-launching apps that use the stupid "metro-style" built-in software, and some customization settings are in annoying places, but really it works fine for me.

Plus, the new Task Manager and file transfer windows look quite aesthetically pleasing!

thanks Sage until that all I had heard of windows 8 was, "Ergh" and "7 is better" etc. Of course people are resistant to change.
Hmmm I wonder if with 2 hard drives and I can finally record and edit videos? hmmmm

I too am finally getting a new machine as this laptop is for work....was supposed to get my other machine fixed but it is cheaper to buy a new machine....yeah it is that broken. Anyways here is the machine i am getting! http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/ ... 62662.aspx
