Cibola and its ever growing skyline *Finished*

As some of you will know the latest addition is fast approaching completion. (Many thanks to all those who donated materials to the construction). I am now in the process of designing/getting ready to construct my new home on zedwork, the stark tower (rebrand to futur tower :D ). While thinking long term i decided the next build should be picked by the community as an extra challenge to me, to this end I will be posting a prize/gift to whomever comes up with the best workable design for cibola. Just post your idea along with any image references you feel appropriate here over the next 7-10days. The payout will be 128 iron blocks and 3 diamond blocks so get your thinking caps on :)

Futur

Well loving the suggestions so far, just to recap we have :-

Hylindar with The Tower Bridge of London - Love this one and have even contemplated it in the past

Tropical Angus with MI6 building in London, Sydney Opera House and the Guggenheim museum - Got to love that last suggestion for the sheer complexity of those lines

Instigator890 with the Burj Khalifa Tower - I think winning so far, I have seen this done in minecraft creative but never a survival attempt :)

BlackHeartDown with the Writhing tower - A good looking building but not big enough for the main city area but def for a suburb on the outskirts

Sitrep99 with The Remembrance Shrine, Neuschwanstein Castle, Eureka SkyDeck and Reichstag - My personal fave of the bunch is the Eureka Skydeck for sure

Sokonit with the Taj Mahal - An unusual choice for a city build but could def take some inspiration for another build with this one

LadyBountiful with The Floating Forest - Loving the idea of a harbour area to have this in, be a great place for people to swim to and chill

Mdes with an awesome looking modern tower - what can I say other than ooooooh look at the angles :) will def be bringing that to Cibola in the future

TheJuiceBox_ with habitat 67 - this one lends itself to being a minecraft project so much, imagine putting one in the wrong place ( who would know )

You still have a little while to go before my decision in finalised so keep the ideas coming

There are so many cool things which are within your realm of building skills! Hmmm What about that tower bridge in London? I don't know the scale so it may well not with in properly. Looks pretty big in the pictures I see though.

Hello Futur

Nice challenge. I've got three suggestions for you, ranked in order of evilness (easiest first!):

1. The MI6 (secret intelligence service) building in London, on the river Thames at Vauxhaull. It's a slightly hideous piece of architecture but its form is interesting and would really lend itself to a very dramatic build in MC.

2. The Sydney Opera House. Ah, those curves...!

3. And finally, for a REAL challenge: the Guggenheim museum in Bilbao.

Yikes.

Right, that lot should keep you busy for a while..?!

Gator, i've been to that monster before. it is by far the tallest thing I have ever seen, it's ...just words can't grasp. I ran across this too in my search, this would have to go well above the clouds but would be cool too :) Maybe futur will just build all the things mentioned above! ^)^

I've got an idea!

Curves are overdone and upright lines are boring, so bow about some diagonals!

A perfect example of these would be the hearst tower in New York

Even if you don't make it, I may take a shot at it :)
