Because my voting thing was long and I'm not there to explain it, I will summarise it quickly.
What will most people on the server do because of this change, and how will it affect them?
Vote for 2 people they want to represent them once every 3-6 months. Just means posting two names on a forum post quarterly/ semi-annually.
That's it. No fuss, no real hassle.
Will there be much hassle for the server and it's players?
None what-so-ever. The only "hassle" will be done my me and hopefully a lovely team of helpers.
What will Danny (and maybe a team of helpful lovely people) do?
Figure out who lives where to decide on who people can vote for.
That's all really... just takes a while and is tedious.
How big will the council be?
The Same size. 20 people.
So what's different?
There will be small "councils" that represent warps and areas, that make up The Council. It will also be voted for by the whole server, a bit like the Forest Hills Warp Mayor elections were.
Why should we bother changing?
People wanted a fairer system to elect council members. Not only that, but calls for more female representatives mean a "fairer" voting system would help to cement that.
So basically, all there is to it is we vote for 2 people, and our votes mean people help to decide how the servers run?
Yeah. Something like that.
Then why didn't people like the idea on the forum post?
I explained it in detail and didn't summarise it... so here is the summary... ta da!
I'm a bit confused by the voting thing. Who are we voting for?
This is why I made the forum post. It explains it all in detail. You vote for two people who are running for the council, and those votes count big time.
I want to know more about it.
THEN READ MY FORUM POST! If you're still confused, just pm me. I will be able to answer all pm's on here at about 4/5pm before the meeting where it's decided.
Memery will talk on my behalf.
