Banned for putting diamonds into someones chest?

Today (18/07/2015 british date) I was at spawn and I saw bananas house. I went in and opened the chest, and put 7 diamonds inside. Then it said I got caught stealing and put me in jail then banned me. I dont quite know why ( IGN is Monkey_2The_Fish )
