Appeal for my friend

Hello guys, today my friend GrumpyDevil and i were playing, we went to spawn to elytra-fall and he stucked into a block, it was taking him damage, so at this point he should break the block to escape, we didn't have ender pearls, we threw them all. He broke the block and it jailed & banned him. We will take care for this to never happen again.
