A new day, a new dawn, a new zedkins. The fortnight rolls by so fast, and lo, another zedkins arrives like a bad penny. The so-called ‘first scribe’ clearly realised his mistake in volunteering so it has been left to the likes of me to deliver your weekly dose of realpolitik.

Elytras

The session immediately became intense as Zedwick himself had an accusation to make. He rose, took the floor, and lashed out at a certain lazy admin who had failed to code in Elytras being dropped by ender dragons. That’s right; Zedwick accused himself of failing to meet his promises. What a naughty boy! Following a series of intense negotiation led by a bad cop (yours truly) and a good cop (nobody) Zedwick admitted to his disastrous failure and the huge amount of trouble it had caused. Of course, we deserved plenty of compensation gifts, but all we ended up getting was a vague promise about it being done ‘soon’

Jail

On the topic of punishments, the council moved swiftly on to discussion around whether the jail should be re-introduced. Despite a shocking amount of support from the borderline sadistic members of Zedkins, Zedwick decided not to go ahead as he was worried about bullying, which had apparently been a problem over on LVS (no surprises there).

Minigames

Although the coveted ‘words with Zedlings’ is still in the works, some say another old favourite might soon be back. I think this means splatoon.

Bans and honey chests

Lots of discussion around this topic. Some members of the council believed instant bans upon honey-chest thievery was too harsh, whereas others appreciated its merciless ways. Other mechanisms were discussed, but in the end it was the general consensus that it was fine the way it is now.

The Zedkins council likes to have a firm stance on the things that really matter to the public. As a result, it was only natural that we devoted a solid 10 minutes to the topic of public ‘hours played’. These ranged from people like The1Shaw (embarrassingly large) to my own (Embarrassingly small). As a result, we decided to keep things private so people like me can’t be name and shamed.
