Council meeting notes 16th July 2016 Hope this is all up to scratch, sorry for any mistakes I may have made.

Topics

New player command (Me)

My topic was about having a new player command for when newbies first join. This wil be instead of always having to type out to explain about the warps and such, the information will be there for them to read. The council decided that it is better for the newcomers to be guided by the players, instead of having to read text in chat. We also decided that throwing to much information at the newcomers can be off-putting. On the forums, there will be a topic !info catergories where you can suggest anything to add to the !info command, which zed will be tweaking.


End Resets (PurpleTurtle42)

PurpleTurtle was saying how the end resets would destroy his base at the world border. Elytras then got into topic, however zed said that he has no immediate plans to reset the outer end ATM. Zed then said how he had an idea to reset the chunks that had not been in active use (Say for the last month). It was then said how they could just be as rare, as all the immediate chunks would regulary be visited by people.


Border Tunnel Completion (SneakySkeleton)

Sneaky talked about how the border tunnels are now done (Woo!) and that anyone can connect to them. This means there will be no need to expand the HUB, as players can connect off then. Any questions, ask a Zriend (Blue).


New Commands! (Zedwick)

As you may have noticed, the joining game announcements have changed somewhat. Zedwick said how he has added his own way to allow zedlings to add notices to this board, as long as they are community projects or events. The zriends will be moderating these notices submissions and approving them if they meet the guidelines. A topic about the guidelines will soon be posted to the forum. You can request a notice by using the command !requestnotice. You can also list currently approved notices using !listnotices. Finally, !nextmeeting has been added, too. Any questions, ask Zedwick.


Another Game Fair Building Competition (Skappy)

Skappy suggested we do another Game Fair building Competition, similar to the one we had a while back. Sneaky said he'll get round to hosting one soon. Skappy said he will make a forum post and that he will put information about the Game Fair on it.

Let's all give a warm welcome to Tjob, who was nominated to the council this week.


Mayor Updates

Hominix said that anyone is welcome to build 50 blocks away from the warp pad in savannah. There were no other updates this week.
