Discussion

After a brief discussion of the weather (and Tim's glorious victory in the deepslate ABBA Caving Event), our glorious host passed the mic to Zed, who also had no announcements!
There was a brief thught that the record of 'shortest meeting ever', Darthduck recalled a ZZ meeting of two minutes length: "Zed has nothing to say" "Oof". Brief as ever!

Zed did give a general reminder to migrate your Mojang account to a Microsoft one - while it began as an 'optional' migration period, that ends after March 10th, at which point you won't be able to play until you migrate it across! So, get yer migrating on!
After a vote party we discussed the different ways Microsoft could potentially mess around with Minecraft (and extolling the virtues of them versus other game companies like EA)

SkyGrid, more like SkUsGrid

Dax then asked about Skygrid (which had been lurking as a rumour a while back). Skygrid is a game mode where there are single blocks spread evenly in every direction - you must navigate the grid to find the resources you need, and try not to look down!

Zed was wanting to do it before 1.18 but then several terrible exploits and bugs occured that needed his attention. He asked whether people would be interested in a bit of Skygrid, to which everyone responded yes, with endorsements such as: "Sounds like fun", "Sounds great", "Sign me up" and "Sure"! Zed will try to sort it out afer 1.18.2! Watch this space!

Banners, I ardly knew ers

Also in the space you are watching are some spiffy new voting page banners for the server, as created by Dax! Will let prospective folk know we're a server in 1.18 (instead of 1.8) woo woo! All going on in that space :o

Insane in the Terrain

People discussed the challenge for new players to find the new terrain, with Zed suggesting promoting the Resource Dimension a little more will let new players see another fancy thing they can access on begoning Zedling. There are not immediate plans to reset unused chunks in the 'main' world, as happens currently with ZZ, nor plans for the Resource Dimension to stop resetting entirely every so often/periodically.

Belated prizes

Darth asked whether anyone had see Tezcatlip, as he still wielded their prize for partaking in the Beginner Hotel contest! It turns out they've not logged n for some time; folk suggested Darth leave it in a chest with a date to remind him what is was for without concern for losing it. Darth will continue to keep it safe (if slightly less secret ;D)

Nominations/Next Meeting

After being mysteriously disconnected a half-dozen times, Dax called time on the meeting! Payne offered to host the next one! Catch you in twoooo weeks =D
