Swamp

Swamp Warp [co-ords: -2786 -978] is one of the oldest warps on the server, surpassed only by Jungle and Savannah. The warp is located on the coast of a large swamp bordered by ocean and forest. The town has grown to be quite spread out rather than closely packed like Forest Hills, and there is still lots of space for building even after being open for such a long time. Currently Swamp is looked after by a caretaker, Spectatre

Finding Swamp

As the warp has been retired, swamp warp is only accessable through the nether hub. A mossy cobble arch on the top floor of the main nether hub leads to the town.

Charlie The Crocodile

People entering swamp warp are greeted by a giant crocodile named Charlie, made by Dax23333.

Joint Build Off

As part of the warps closing down event, a build off was held in the town where everybody worked together on the same build with different themes in mind, and whoever made it look most like thier theme won. The chaotic build across the water from the warp and behind Charlie is the result of this.

Public Farms

Swamp Warp has 2 public farms in the town, a vine farm and a mob farm. The mob farm produces slimeballs as well as other mob drops but is very slow.

Sneakys Swamp House

An empty plot that has been claimed for over two years after the demolition of SneakySkeletons first house there. It has remained untouched since.

Paradise Prismarine Farm

Accessable by going into the Swamp nether hub, then going to the orange wing and following the tunnel to Dax's Paradise, the Paradise Prismarine Farm is a maximum size public guardian grinder. It produces vast quantites of prismarine and raw fish, which may be cooked in the on site auto smelter. There is mini golf to keep people amused while waiting for prismarine, and also facilitates using potions to get xp from the guardians.

Treasure Hunters Guild

A building on the top of the small hill next to the warp pad is the headquarters of the Treasure Hunters Guild. It also doubles as Dax23333's mayoral office. This building is the start point of the Great Treasure Hunt. In this event players must trek across the world of LVS through varios hand crafted and extremely dangerous dungeons in order to find clues. If they manage to complete the event they earn a prize. Only 6 people have completed it so far, with SneakySkeleton being the first to do so. This event can be completed at any time, and remains open to this day.

History of Swamp

Origins

Swamp was created as a wilderness warp, and existed at first as just the warp pad and nothing else. Some time after this paths were added, making it into the start of a town. At this time there were no mayors in any of the warps, with construction being free range and warps developing (or not) without much plan of what they were turned into. Fortunatly Swamp was spared the fate of being completely disorganized and chaotic like Jungle thanks to the construction of roads by Mafoo_The_Mad, which guided players into the creation of a town.

Swamp as a Zedling Warp

Swamp became a Zedling Warp after a long period of being for new players. At this point the town was still not very developed, but numerous people had made thier home after heading out from the warp and connected to its nether hub, which was also build by Mafoo_The_Mad. It stayed as a zedling warp for a long time, eventually becoming somewhat of a ghost town.

Dax for Mayor!

In the winter of 2015 warp towns started to get mayors, players designated to lead the town and organise them. Dax23333 stood for mayor of Swamp, and since everybody else thought it was a slightly smelly ghost town he had no opposition and was voted in.

Retirement

As there can only be 4 warps on the spawn warp pad at any time, with the opening of the new and improved Savannah Swamp had to be retired to nether hub only. In April of 2016 the warp to swamp was removed, but not before a party to celebrate the huge success of the town against the odds! With the removal of this quick access visitor numbers plummeted. The warp is currently in hibernation, waiting to leap back onto the pad at the first opertunity.
